We fully own and operate a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. With 100% in-house production, we have complete control over production, product confidentiality, timelines, and quality from start to finish.
HLH is a unique fusion and the best of the West and East, founded by industry veteran Vader Yu from China and Director James Murphy from the UK. We support cutting edge companies globally, using our expertise and experience to enable innovation by rapidly manufacturing high quality prototypes and production parts.
In 2021, HLH’s co-founder and director James Murphy, returned to Leeds, UK, to open and oversee the company’s first European headquarters, HLH Rapid. This strategic move aimed to provide localised support to clients in North America, the UK and European markets.

Yes, we are one company. HLH Rapid is the European arm of HLH Prototypes and is located in Leeds, UK. The branch was started and is currently managed by Director James Murphy.
While our headquarters is in the UK. All processes including injection moulding, cnc machining and 3D printing, are done in-house in our 12,000 sqm manufacturing plant in Dongguan, China.
HLH is a profitable business with zero outstanding debt.
As far as possible, we prefer a step or iges file for quoting along with a 2D engineering drawing with key dimensions and tolerances detailed. For 3D printing an .obj or .stl is needed. We can quote some projects from a 2D drawing only but this is generally more time consuming.
We aim to quote all prototype projects and rapid tooling projects within 24 hours. All injection molding, production and export tooling within 3 days. There are sometimes processes and materials which HLH does not offer in house; these could add time to the quotation and will be highlighted as and when.
All projects are DDU unless otherwise stated. This means the quote includes all freight and charges to a port of your choice. Any and all import and other taxes in your country are your own responsibility. If you require different shipping terms these can be negotiated on a case by case basis.
