Electroplating is a surface finish that can only be applied to hard plastics such as ABS. As it can be expensive to chrome plate plastic, unless there are strict appearance requirements, we generally do not recommend it.
While colour pellets are an option, they can be expensive. Typically, injection moulded parts are painted for decorative purposes or to cover surface defects. The three main part-painting methods include spray painting, powder coating and silk screening.
