We can polish your cnc metal and plastic parts to achieve a smooth finish.

Metals, plastics (especially clear PMMA and PC) | Hand polish, high polish | Smooth and slightly reflective |
A high gloss finish on a prototype or machined part is only achievable post process. We have high speed CNC machines which can leave the surface finish incredibly smooth but if you want a high polish finish, we will need to do it post process. We can polish CNC metal and plastics parts to achieve a smooth and slightly reflective surface look. Metal parts can be polished to different grades with the highest being a mirror finish. We can also polish plastic parts, and this would generally be necessary if a transparent part is required.
The goal of polishing CNC machined parts is to improve appearance, give a smooth surface or prepare the surface for painting or plating. There are a number of ways of polishing parts, the three main ones used at HLH include:
Hand Polishing: the parts are polished using ever finer grades of sandpaper to produce a smooth glossy surface.
Chemical Polishing: Acids can chemically smooth the surface, enhancing reflectivity and removing imperfections without mechanical abrasion.
Electropolishing: A controlled anodic process that removes surface material using electricity, resulting in a bright, smooth finish.
Polishing is essential in various industries to enhance the usability and appearance of both metals and plastics, making it a critical step in manufacturing and prototyping. To get your CNC machined parts polished talk to HLH, info@hlhrapid.com
